What I can never figure is why they (meaning the people who can actually
hear the "difference" all this makes) don't just rip out the entire AC PS
and use a stack of 12V car batteries instead. That's what you used back in
the Good Old Days, batteries. Think of all the reserve capacity you'd have
for those loud peaks.

I've got this quaint little "tower" I picked up in Paris I'll let go cheap
(the Bored Of Supervisors says it's too tall for the zoning laws around
here--then there's the complaints from the FAA). It's good for marriage
proposals, jumping off of, etc.
