Given that they charge $1200 and up for a simple AC mains cable, I find this
statement from their home page very "entertaining."
---- start direct quote ----
Harmonic Technology Company Overview
Harmonic Technology was founded in 1998 in San Diego, California, on the
principle that a high performance cable does not have to have to be
unattainably high priced to be the finest sounding cable available. It is
common knowledge in our business that the raw materials in every cable are
very close in price, no matter what the quality. Only "snob appeal" and
extremely high profit margins are responsible for the ever increasing prices
of cable. We have bucked this trend and propose to base our profit margin on
high sales volume resulting from offering a great product at an honest
price. But our cables are not just cost effective; they are also the finest
audio/video products of their kind.
---- end of direct quote ----
What I find most amusing is that the path from generator to high price AC
mains cable (you know all that wire in the walls and crap us utility guys
keep in the air) is ignored in the process. Apparently, they would have
people believe that changing the last .01% (at most) of the AC distribution
system will make such a huge difference.
To keep this ON topic, I routinely buy my IEC mains cables for my synths
surplus.

Never trust a company that tries to sell you "low noise" AC mains cables.
Especially this one:
