I just made a whole lot of patch cables with standard 1/4"
jacks. I bought some very nice cable it's called Tricone
mkII and made by a German company called Sommer cable.
It's called "Instrument cable"

specs :
1 * 0.22mm sqr (AWG24) double shielded.
It's very soft, almost silicone like, easy to work with, and
very flexible. It's available in 4 or 5 colors.
The copper shield is spiral wound, NOT braided, so it's
easy to undo when soldering to jacks.
