Uhh - pink noise into one channel of a Cyndustries Quad Comparator with 
the ref turned up high enough that only the top spikes in the noise make 
it through.

Was just my impression of what I thought it *might* sound like, but what 
the heck do I know! Somebody post the real deal and I'll see what else I 
can come up with!!
