Hi Les --

Could you possibly give us some more details of how this clip was made, and 
why you think it represents popcorn noise?

I recorded it into sound forge and did a spectral analysis.  The spectrum 
is fairly flat, with only a 6 dB variation from 30 Hz to 6 kHz.  There is 
no obvious region where the spectrum has a 1/f^2 behavior, as would be 
expected for popcorn noise.  Also, popcorn noise is represented by a series 
of voltage steps, whereas your signal is a series of narrow spikes.  I 
haven't listened to popcorn noise for a long while, but I don't remember it 
sounding like your clip.
