this one is a bit less abstract than Larry's, and for me is not even as
important as the one he wrote about, but i think still deserves note, as
i'll be popping back up for help once i start working on it :)
My father does furniture restoration and estate sales as a bussiness, and
for years i have hoped he would find something along the lines of an ARP
2600 or some other buried synth treasure in someones basement. Like everyone
else i have heard the stories of people finding lightly damaged synthesizers
in the garbage, and recently i had the chance to buy such an item... an
SH-101 which had undergone some trauma, with the boards cracked in half and
its keys smashed up... hopefully when it arrives it will be in much better
condition than described, so with the work of many jumps i can heal it's
little traces, and it will be the perfect mate for my tr-606 which was
rescued from a housefire.
