I wonder what sound you might get, if you operated those bulbs near a 
single-coil guitar pickup?

Maybe you should try operating them next to a small AM radio which is tuned 
"off-station", possibly tuned near the low-end of the broadcast band? That 
might pick up the random disturbance.

Let us know if you do anything remotely "musical" with these.  :)
