[sdiy] Popcorn Noise Generator?

Popcorn noise...that is not going to be easy...I would say you are going to 
have to find some part that has a lot of it.  I use purchased a couple of 
phono preamp chips a long time ago...they were National Semiconductor...I 
think the part number was LM381...but I could be wrong...Nope I was 
right...just looked it up in an old National Semi data book...now the ones 
I purchased had gobs of popcorn noise...it was pretty annoying...if they 
still make this part, I imagine the have improved the processing and they 
don't do that any more.
