[sdiy] Wondering about function generators for envelopes

I'm all in favor of complex DIY envelopes, if anyone can think of an
interesting method without a thousand knobs.

The approaches I'd try would be
1. a cheap sampler with an envelope follower (rather a cheat, but ther eare
plenty of cheap crappy samplers to press into service) or

2. a traditional ADSR driving a wavefolder or similar. Which gives an extr
universe of wiggles for only one more knob.
