[sdiy] Rhodes piano preamp

Hi Group-

My Rhodes stage piano has long suffered from the lack
of a preamped output.  As most Rhodes owners know,
stage piano output output is muddy and muted with the
appropriate timbral shaping.  

Can anyone recommend a source for preamp schematics
that are good for Rhodes pianos?  I've found sites
that will *sell* a Rhodes inbuilt preamp but no useful
schematics.

Also, do any experts out there think a plain old
outboard multiband EQ will work just as well?  If so,
what do you recommend?
