They have a reputation for not being very linear. Thomas Henry has a
circuit at: http://www.midwest-analog.com/diylvco.html but this is a
_linear_ CV circuit, not expo. This circuit linearizes the device.
Have I tried it? No, I have some ICL8038 here, and I want to - when I
finally have some time. I like the multiwaveform feature of the chip.
Some here have made LFOs out of them.
