The 4066 and 4051 are still hard to beat if you can live with their
limited operating voltage range. They have good charge injection specs
and they are cheap [at the moment].
Interestingly I have found that 4066 devices exhibit better charge
injection figures than the some of the DG2XX and DG4XX range. The problem
is that 4000 series devices aren't spec'd for it. Thus it could be a bit
of gamble in a production enviroment.
For pot multiplexing where the voltage moves between 0 and 5V I don't see
why anyone shouldn't use a 74HC4051 or similar. Going to the more
expensive DG471 et al seems to me slightly overkill.
