[sdiy] MG-1 Mods (patching it out)

Does this mean it will go to -.1v or will it go to 0v - I'm at work so 
I can't test till I get home though I imagine -.1v will be acceptable.

Is there a non-quick and dirty way? I'm using this as a learning tool 
and want to understand more how this all works. Still a newb.
