1970's again? (was Re: [sdiy] pro EQs)

Kenneth.

Outside of some guy who wanted to make a VCO that produced circle waves or
some such thing about a year ago, there hasn't been an outbreak of anything
but camaraderie, respect and assistance here, without opinion of why is
someone even doing whatever it is they are asking for help on. I for one
hope it stays this way!! I'm sure there are many here like me who have no
idea who the moderator is because they have never had to break up the tizzy
fits that litter AH and the Gas Station.

SDIY'ers do this because...they can and they enjoy it whether it's for the
generation of their own music, for someone else's, or for any other reason.
There are few others things that are as gratifying as juicing up a circuit
of your own design and see it do exactly what it is you intended it to the
first time around. Remember, not everyone on this list is a musician!
Some are engineers, some are programmers, it's all over the map here. They
begin like I did taking on projects they think they can handle, even if it's
been done a billion times before and then in time move to larger, more
complex circuits that present more of a challenge.

respectfully submitted,

- P
