It might be the same problem a lot of Oberheim Matrix 1000 have...
I bought a Matrix 6R and use the 1000 very less often because of this...
I prefer boucing M6R tracks on my computer rather than having the M1000
turned on!

I posted at several discussion groups about this, and never got any reply
about how to solve this problem, although later revisions of matrix 1000
have this problem cured..
