[sdiy] what makes a transformer vibrate?

Among other things, ABBA music -  they HATE that.

Another cause is running them with different power configurations than the
circuit was designed for.  For instance, a 60 hZ line as opposed to a Euro
or Aussie config.  We had a lot of problems with this in our subwoofers when
I worked at M&K.
