Here is a tip to those shipping from the USA to UK. UPS is NOT the way to
go if you are trying to get a decent price.
I do a lot of shipping to the UK and other parts or Europe from the USA. I
recently shipped four large boxes containing walnut modular synth cabinets.
These were in the 45-50 pound range. At UPS these packages would have been
in excess of $300 each. The US Post office will accept them and deliver
them in about 7 days for much less than 1/2 the price of UPS. The packages
in limited to 79 inches in length and 108 inches length plus girth. But,
that is a pretty big box. I paid between $130 and $160 each depending on
where they were going and exact weight.

My PS-3100 is on its way from USA to UK as we speak. UPS cost me a lot more
than the £160 he mentions, so at least the USA route is fairly priced. Yes,
UK post is bloody expensive though, I feel.
