yeah, its  pain in the arse.
Tony Levin (plays bass for peter gabrel) is one the most awesome stick
players I've seen and heard, closely followed by Nick Beggs (check out,
bubbles by Ellis, Beggs and Howard for some seriously funky stick playing).

I'd like to play one of these, but alas, at that price, its not going to
happen for a very long time.
