Yeah.  I bought some 24" linear bearings this weekend and some just awesome
lead screws with sync stepper motors on them.  Planning to build a CNC
router for doing panels and PCBoards.  There will be a shop-vac
attachment...  and yes, the Porter laminate trimmer seems to be the router
of choice for this applications.  about .001 runout in the bearings and
fairly inexpensive.

Its worth trying.  Its very fast and probably safer on your health then
fibreglass dust and the chance of a dremel disk burying itself in ones
forehead.  Just dont drink the Ferric Chloride and you're fine. :-)
