This thread is kinda amusing since I now routinly replace annoying Blue
LED's with nice red or green ones. Yellow if I really want them to stand
out.

Then again, the only time I riced out a computer case we did the full neon
treatment, a type-r sticker, and a fake wing and exhaust pipe on the back...

Blue LEDs were cool 3 or 4 years ago when they were still rare-ish and
expensive, but now they're showing up in toasters. Its over. :-)

Maybe we can start a thread on which vintage red LEDs look the best. I like
the warm glow of the older Fairchild LEDs, I think the new Liteon's and
others out of china look too harsh, and when you drive one with a PWM ( ie :
digital control ) they just dont look right either!

Now a Photonphile needs to speak up about how we're all wrong and neon
bulbs or good ol incandescent bulbs look he best [1]

Okay okay, I've been in front of the bench too long today....

[1] I'll admit, I use neon indicators quite a bit for That Look. Only visual
mod my Minimoog has is I changed its bulb from Red lens to Yellow lens...
