time to reflow solder joints. At least reflow those of the components
that get hot during normal operation. Often it works wonders.

Yes, it's amazing how the waveform of a flute can change with
embouchure, isn't it? I play flute myself (sometimes in front of a
scope....).
I think the thing in synth world that comes closest is a wave shaper.
