[sdiy] So far, a Productive DIY weekend

Well, this weekend I have been cutting metal rather than soldering
it. I am building a couple of power amplifiers so I can have something
better than a pair of cheap computer speakers to demo my synths with. I
got some new "stuff" to make fixtures out of, so now when I am machining
parts they don't vibrate all over the place. I managed to get two heat
sinks machined out and cut to size. I was pretty proud of myself, I
actually got the dimensions of one dead nuts on, and the other is only shy
by 3 mils in one direction. The only thing that bummed me out was the sun
went down...the only light worth working by is the sun...so, I will have to
wait until tomorrow to finish it off.

Well, I am going to go take a nap...standing at a milling
machine...oh yeah, and doing a 35 mile bike ride tends to wear a
bit...well, at least when you are over 50...
