So the probe I made out of a broken soldering iron handle, a DMM probe with 
a 1Mohm resister and a 30 pf trimmer cap with some wire and a clip thrown in 
is OK? Cuz I made it and never used it (and I wonder if I can find it) 
because I figured if that crap would work then just some wire and RCA 
adapters work. Even though $18 is a nice price for a scope probe, it is out 
of my budget at this juncture. I wouldn't even be doing any of this if I 
didn't have (what I hope is) enough goodies to play around with and making 
new stuff out of old stuff.
