I actually meant that they sound BETTER than you'd think from looking at the
data sheet. From the datasheet it looks a lot like a run of the mill dual op
amp.

I like to use them whenever I can because I have more of them than any other
type by far.

That is actually how I group them in my mind. I guess maybe instead of
having a drawer for singles another for doubles and another for quads isn't
as good of an idea as putting them in drawers by type. I do have a drawer
just for TL0XX (and other FET op amps like the 4072) and 4558.
Speaking of TL0XX, has anybody had any experience with 03X and 05X compared
with the usual 074 and 084?

Po' ones do. It's an art unto itself really making what you have work
instead of buying whatever might work best. I'm fortunate that I've saved
just about everything that I've collected over the 32 short (or long
depending on how sick I am in the morning) years. I'm fortunate that I've
stocked up on resistors and caps. And I have a lot of great IC's. (Well I
think they're great anyway.)
I'll be back in action soon and then it won't really be a big deal, but the
extra research I'm making myself do is kind od worth it. (Especially since
all I have right now is time. Lucky I have that.)
