Hey this is a nice segue into something I've been pondering about a very 
similar thing. I have an old static RAM. I heard someone once say that you 
could use a static RAM as a CCD camera.

I got as far as popping the ceramic case in half (very carefully - I like 
ceramic cases). I just ran across this thjing the other day and I thought 
hmmm I wonder if you could use it as a white noise source? Or put straight 
analog through it and use it as a BBD? I have no idea why that occured to 
me. Well I do actually - I think all three things behave somewhat similarly 
(CCD's, SRAM and BBD's)
