The theremin method will be very complex...
If you touch IC1-B pin 7... and touch IC1-C pin 2 your skin
resistance will change the oscillator frequency. Maybe make the
100K pot a 1M pot for better effect.
This is probably OK, but be sure that your circuit is powered from a good
supply isolated from the AC line or some (bad) surprise might result.
A true VCO...with the input voltage provided by a 9V battery and your
skin resistance (press harder and the speed goes up) would be much
safer....and you could filter the voltage so that 50/60Hz hum is not picked
up.
