[sdiy] Ensoniq keyboard calibration problem

What can be done to cure the famous "keyboard calibration error" problem
that plagued the Ensoniq VFX?

I've heard that many people had this problem, so I'm hoping there is a
well-known and straightforward solution. I think it probably affects more
than just the VFX, but I'm not certain.
