Speaking of speakers... what surprises me is that so many people use
such small speakers when listening to their synthesis equipment, after
expending so much effort to create their synthesized sounds---which
one would think that all SDIY'ers would want to hear in all of their
glory. :-)
Perhaps I'm going a bit overboard, using 15" woofers, 9 x 18" midrange
horns driven by compression drivers, plus horn tweeters, and driving
them with an old Phase Linear 400 II amp... and will also be using a
pair of Bogen CHB-100 tube amps (until I build my own tube amps
someday) with them as well, once I get an active crossover for
biamping. With all of the clutter, standing waves don't seem to be an
issue (being a pack-rat is a good thing, in many ways!). :-)
