I somewhat agree... a lot of projects are spread over
a number of years.
This is getting to be like the Oscars (but more fun
:^) where people will position their diy projects for
maximum impact.
"should I release it two months before the 'Soddies'
to allow time for it to gain public support... or do I
announce right before so it does not have time to get
stale ?"

"God, I hope JH does not release the same day..."
~and / or~
"I hope JH moves again soon..." :^P
now HERE's an Idea... why doesn't John suggest
something LIKE the "Soddies" over at Analogue Heaven
and then kick back and see what kind of sh!t gets
stirred up there !!!
