That's what I was thinking. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't actually 
doing something really stupid. I've messed around with tube gear a lot over 
the years, but I haven't really ever changed the circuitry inside it so 
radically. (Like putting 6V pentodes in place of 12V twin-triodes...)
