[sdiy] tube amp

I'm making a monoblok amp from 3 EL84's. I'm using an oscilloscope chassis 
that seemed perfect for the job since it already had all of the sockets and 
power supply. The thing is, it has a 1500V section on the power supply for 
the 'big' tube. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to make this 
safe(r). I thought if I could think of something interesting but mostly 
useless that might help, but I'm at a loss for what. Or would it be OK to 
just goo the wire up in some RTV silicone stuff?

Also you think one 12AX7 is enough gain for a guitar (harmonica/synth) amp? 
I thought about putting a 12AU7 too.
