Hey speaking of scopes I have a Beckman Industrial 9060 60MHz scope. It had
been sitting in my damp basement for a while so I opened it up and looked in
it just to see how it looked.

It looked OK so I fired it up.

The 2v pp calibration tab just showed two dots, Hmmm...

I hooked it up to the video output of my DVD player (it was the closest
signal source at hand) and got what looked like a video signal but it was
wrapped around in a cylinder and it was rotating. Hmmm... Better mess with
the timebase a little. Nothin' except when I pull out the X10 knob. If I
turn the big dial past the lowest setting it just moves it off. Messing with
the slope made it look just as weird but um in a different way.

I think one of the timebases is not running, but I have no idea what to look
for. Well I thought I did, but I don't see anything that would be the
timebase. stuff.

I wish this was like the old Tektronix I used to have (yeah 200 MHz and more
stuff than I know how to use). I'd just give it "the Fonze" because it was
probably maybe a loose tube or something (if anything). But this Beckman
scope actually seems tougher than the Tektronix.

My Heathkit scope and RCA TV fixer scope got somne flood damage so they gave
up their tubes and transformers and knobs.

The amps all seem to work fine.

Wondering if anyone knows anything about these particular scopes because
googling didn't yield up much info for me either.
