I ordered one of these joysticks a while back when I was getting some other small items from Digikey. It looks like it would be particularly handy for, say, a small synth along the lines of Ray Wilson's little Sound Lab or similar, or as part of an cool little controller. The drawback of this particular little joystick is that there is no knob on it, and I'll have to figure out how to put one on. I have a similar tiny Noble joystick (that cost a lot more than this one, for sure) that has a knob on it. The knob makes it a lot easier to use - it's flattened at the top and you can lay a couple of fingers on it, or your palm, and get a pretty nice degree of control over it. On top of that, the Noble joystick and this one each have an integral momentary NO switch, and the knob certainly makes it a lot nicer for actuating that.

Cheers,
Scott
