The more I think about this,  the less I think that it's necessarily that good 
an idea to get such a wide variety of components,  particularly if you're 
spending money on new stuff,  and also particularly if we're talking about 
capacitors...

There's  a LOT of leeway in many designs,  a lot of values that are not at all 
critical,  and getting fewer values in larger quanties will end up being 
cheaper in the long run.  Seems to me I remember Anderton's book doing stuff 
like that,  he used 10uF caps all over the place,  as one example,  and lots 
of other stuff similarly.
