[sdiy] alligator patchbay ideas?

I'll bet pieces scrap house wiring wire, single solid strand,
like 16 or 14 gauge copper could be found at new home
building sites.  Cut it into short pieces and solder into the
board.  The heavy wire cut short will be so stiff that it
won't bend.  And found wire is *free*.
