[sdiy] alligator patchbay ideas?

I should have said, cheap AND 'easy',
in the sense of not beign too labor intensive
(otherwise, I'd use U-shaped bits of wire
& solder them to the PCB). I'm wondering
whether I could use self-tapping screws
& just screw the suckers into the PCB thru
the metal. Maybe brass screws & solder
the joints later.
