This is truly scary. If not because I have to recycle capacitors at least 5 
times before I give in and go and buy new ones, then because that's what 
they use to call my ol' man. "Ol' Tin Whiskers." He was also a pirate and a 
tight ass. Like father like son I guess.

This also explains why I can extract navel lint with a magnet. Personally I 
think the answer lies at the quantum level. In "string Theory." Or as My 
friend Dr. Panda calls it. "Silly String Theory." While scientists clamber 
for funding to build bigger and better partial accelerators, we may well be 
witnessing the effects of gravitons dragging ions with them as they leave 
this universe. And hopefully finding a better one to live in. Hell, you 
think I'd hang around if I were a graviton and had the ability to walk 
through walls?

I've often said that the pursuit of electronics is one part skill, one part 
knowledge and 2 parts voodoo. I think this must be the voodoo. It explains 
a lot even if it has no explanation. Further confirming my quantum 
explanation even if somewhat circumstantial.

Actually. Some time ago I was studying up on the process of rusting. 
Oxidization. (Trying to stop my car port falling down.) What caught my eye 
was a list of potential differences between various metals. Some of them 
quite high. We're all aware of the nature of sacrificial anodes where zinc 
migrates to protect iron etc. It's referred to as rusting or corroding but 
it's really an electrical process. And from what I recall, this process 
looks remarkably similar. It also looks like lightning in metal. Perhaps a 
further clue. Who knows but it I hope it doesn't spell the end of my 
scrounging days.

I may not be able to grow hair on a bowling ball but I might try my tin 
whistle.
