[sdiy] little black boxes

In a box of meters,  I found these two little black boxes,  apparently power 
supplies.  Both are marked "Basler Electric" but both are also marked with 3M 
part numbers,  and both are marked for 24V input.

One is marked for 5.6KV (!) output at 1mA,  the other for 1000V and 800V 
outputs at 50uA.

I have *no* idea what these were intended to be used for.  Nor do I have any 
particular use for them.

Anybody think these might be useful?  Contact me offlist...
