[sdiy] New to this list. What about archives?

Hi all,

I'm "new" to this list (although this list is not new to me).

I was hoping to find SDIY mail archives from the past 3½ years somewhere 
here, but all I see (on the web & via the list robot) is only May 1995 to 
June 2001.

Are there any more archives somewhere?

Is the list alive, to begin with? :-)
