Hi,

You can use polystirol, poliester, or ceramic as well, the best is styroflex all the others has some disadvantage but working without any trouble. (it should be non polar)

Pala

Subject: [sdiy] Styroflex Capacitors

Hi people,

I'm presently gathering parts to build Marc Bareille's MCV876 MIDI to CV
converter. It is written on the info sheet that I need to use styroflex
capacitors at one point in the design. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get
much info on the subject and I'm asking you electronic diehards; what the
hell is styroflex and what are those capacitors used for?

Thanks

Charles
