I got a remote for my MZ-R37 off ebay and instead of cutting off the plug, I 
tacked wires inside the remote and kept it intact. Will hook it to 
footswitches if I ever get back to working on it.

Oh, I just noticed you said JACK, not PLUG. Sorry.
