Newsletters are the best source I know. Every major components
manufacturer has them, as well as importers/distributors. They are
always for free, devoid of superfluous advertisements and filled with
plenty of information on the latest products. Usually, each item
description has a number, with which you can apply for detailed
technical information.
With a collection of those dropping into your mailbox at regular
intervals, your need for a component magazines might dissolve
completely. Magazines always have to make a choice from the news
items offered to them. Newsletters show all the products that a
company ads to their range,
But I have to admit, advertisements in magazines are a great source
to find the companies which you want to ask for their newsletter, so
you should buy one at least once a year .:-)
