Yes, I've built two. The idea is to build a big patch synth out of them 
but I'm hung up at the same place - how to make the panels etc.

Without a workshop metal is going to be difficult. I thought I might 
use MDF - it cuts and drills quite easily and accurately. On the other 
hand it does look a little like cardboard.

I once saw some French polished MDF - which is kind of perverse, I know 
- but it looked like some ancient form of plastic, Bakelite or Paxolin 
or something. Could look quite cool?
