Ok,  so this isn't at all in the same class as those Flukes and other stuff 
you guys were talking about...

Harbor Freight,  today,  got these little yellow meters on sale.  With a diode 
test function and even measures transistor beta if you can figure out the 
socket on the front of it -- runs off a 9V battery so you don't need to be 
hunting down some weird smaller stuff.

Best part,  though,  is the price -- $3.99 each!  Which is why I bought two of 
them...		:-)
