Speaking of HD recording, i just recently bought a new
computer, (actually everything in parts) the motherboard
is a Asus A7V400MX micro ATX. And a cheap AMD sempron 2200.
Actually, i just wanted a small PC for doing my CAD drawings
(my 400Mhz laptop is slowly saing godbye) so i just picked the
motherboard the supplier had in the shop stock, I was familiar
with ASus boards in the past (worked well, little fuzz) but the
pick was most random! Anyhow, as i later found out the board
had some integrated sound , a AD1980 codec and a DLS2 synth!
The board also had a midi interface!......Neat!
But does the on chip UART (serial port) have midi
speed implemented in the baud clk registers these days?
The board also had S/pdif , and integrated graphics
whats your experience on hard disk recording with
these low cost "all on chip" micro ATX boards?
Btw, Korg or Fostex have released a 4 track casette tape recorder!!!
Who buys it?
