I have a sneaking suspicion that someone at A/DA thought the same thing when
they named that thing the STD-1.

I guess I can't talk - the company I work for made a weather radar avionics
box called the STD that interfaced with some of our other equipment and the
WRU.  It's a wonder to behold - there are enough banana jacks on the thing
to put any Serge to shame.....
