If you want something to perhaps start with, you might give my Vocal Filter 
a try.

I still have a few boards left.  This board has 3 State Variable filters on 
it, 3 diode wave shapers, intended for shaping control voltages, and a 6 
input mixer that is connected to the Low Pass and Band Pass outputs of each 
filter (with a cut and a jump, you could change one of those to High Pass)...

This board also teaches you what Bypass Capacitors are for :-)
