hey anthony and sdiy folks,


i suggest that you try to use a tube pre for the record head if possible,
throw in a nice chorus or two (see my other post), a spring reverb, and a
digital delay. minus the DD this would be similar to a roland RE501 space
echo, IMHO quite an excellent gadget.  i used to experiment with tape delays
but i never did build the power oscillator for vari-speed echos which i
always wanted to have voltage controlled from my synths and from a foot
pedal.

the warble and the tape saturation of a tape delay on the output of the
synthesizer always sounds quite nice to me. gives it some 'life'.
