[sdiy] SN76477 & SN94624/TMS9919

Every now and then I think it might be cool to have a 76477 for  at least a 
fun noise maker.
I was wondering if these things are easilly/cheaply had these days.

I have a SN94624/TMS9919 that I'm trying to figure out how to play with 
without hooking it up to a computer (well I guess a synth is an analogue 
computer). It's just not the same though. I thought something liek a gated 
comparator might be a good place to start.
Soemtimes I think I spend too much time messing with stuff that's just more 
trouble than it's worth, but oh well.
