[sdiy] Weird hobby of the week: Chip-collecting!

I've been wondering if you could approximate an MN3011 with say 3 MN3006's
and 3 MN3007's?
All with their own clocks.
S/N ratio is the only big issue I can think of.
The 3007 is 80dB and the 3006 is 90 dB.
That's not too bad especially the in kind of effects BBD's are used for.
I'm been vascillating back and forth between making a bunch of separate
effects and using all of the BBD's I'm currently not using all in one unit.
I think I just may do the latter.

But I still wanna try my 'one-knob-chorus' idea - I figured if I coupled the
LFO through a vactrol, at faster modulation speeds it would have less depth.
I dunno about anyone else but with a chorus I like a lot of depth at slow
speeds and a lot less depth at faster speeds. I guess it's still not simpler
than a Dimension C... But a lot less subtle...

But I digress.
